Georgia Express Festival a Big Success

2014-05-10-10-22-20-104_p.jpg

94 teams competed through rain, mud, fog, and brilliant sunshine on Mother’s Day weekend.  Amazing skill and heart throughout the weekend.  We are most proud that every single minute of scheduled play was fulfilled in each and every game, regardless of the weather.  Each day’s play began and ended on-time.

Georgia Express members were out in force throughout the last two weeks and the tournament weekend.  Thanks to each and every volunteer.  Special thanks to the following for their help in making this tournament a raging success:

Honey Cunningham, the glue that kept our entire tournament running like clockwork.  Trophies, medals, vendors, volunteers, scorekeeper, gopher, complaint handler, check-in coordinator.

Jerry Bullington and his goal and field crew, including all those who stayed late Friday to grab goals in the rain and get them on the field.  Special thanks to hand ladlers Michaela Moellar, Frank duCille, and Lawrence Hassel.

Our amazing Venue Directors of Shawn Sexton and Jamie Cunningham

Referee Coordination was terrific due to Sandy Ziadie, as well as her sidekick Delroy.

Joe & Michelle Rosentel, for tireless work to take care of our referees.

Concessions Inc, led by Mike Owen, Jayita Deb, Karen Jones, Nancy Smith, and the GXFC U14 Boys families
