Referees are a critical part of Georgia Express.  We value our refs, and it is one of the best paying jobs for teenagers especially.

Some of the benefits of being a referee:

  • Referees earn $$$
  • Free snacks and beverages for most game-days
  • Mentoring and training
  • Personal growth in focus, responsibility, and decision-making

Becoming a New Referee

Georgia Soccer offers many courses for new referees (R9 certification).  Click here to sign up for an R9 referee class in our area.  You may attend any of these.  The cost $90.  If you are interested in financial assistance for the initial payment, please email Honey Cunningham at honeycunn@yahoo.com.  You would have a portion of your first payment to offset this cost if needed.  Boys and girls as young as 9 years old may attend this course.  Click here for R8 classes (those upgrading to R8) and here for R8/R9 Recert (previous referees without a 2016 badge).

Referees New to Georgia Express

Once you've attended a course (or if you are already an R9 or R8 referee), then you need to sign up to be assigned.
